JOB PURPOSE
As per the development strategy of SWTS Engineering, he/she will be in charge to cover the position of Automation & Control Engineer; he/she will report directly to the Europe EI&C Discipline Leader who will fix the target, the activities and the projects to be involved.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Review and comment PFD / P&ID for any control / interlock / safety related representations.
- Preparation / review / development of specifications of DCS system and any other PLC related systems.
- Preparation of system architecture for DCS or any other control systems.
- Preparation of material requisitions for DCS system, SCADA or any other control systems required for the project.
- Preparation of the control system requirement for package units; supporting package specialists for MR, technical clarification and bid evaluations, document review and approval. Coordinating the interfaces between package unit control system and plant control systems.
- Review and approve vendor documents for incorporation into the design and co-ordination with other disciplines. Provide the input to other disciplines, such as electrical consumption for electrical power supply design, heat dissipation for ACMV design, weight and dimension for civil/architecture design.
- Preparation of cause & effect matrix, logic diagrams, control narratives and safety narratives, any other necessary control & ESD system related documents for the system configurations.
- Review and approval of suppliers’ hardware and software configuration Design of control room layout.
- Instruct and advise instrument design team for the control system hardware and cabling installation design, system cabinet earthing and grounding design.
- Review / comment / approval of supplier’s test procedures; attend FAT / SAT and follow up with any punch list.
- Preparation of functional test procedures for loop testing when requested by client.
- Direct and / or participate in job site visits to collect or deliver design and engineering data.
- To manage and lead hardware and software test; Technical support to commissioning representatives on process control issues.
- To maintain and respect the engineering documentation schedule.
- Lead technical discussion with customer; Customer focal point, ensuring client satisfaction / requirements are addressed or met.
- Support Project manager for commercial discussion related to scope change and technical risk /opportunity identification.
- Participating in HAZOP / SIL review meeting. Implementing safety instrument design as per review reports.
- To interact with process, electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
- Continuous improvement of our current documentation; standardization of products and controls.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Automation and Control Engineering Degree with 5+ years of working experience as Automation and Control engineer.
- Knowledge of the process basis elements relevant to the water treatments plant.
- Significant experience in multiple industries e.g. Oil and Gas, Refining, Chemical, Pharmaceutical is preferred.
- Previous experience in UF/MBR/RO technologies within the water industry is preferred.
- Proven previous experience in FAT and SAT test for PLC and DCS especially in EPC contract contest.
- Knowledge of Automation architectures (PLC, DCS …) including standard/remote I/O’s, bus-fieldbus, communication links and protocols, redundant and safety systems.
- Familiarity with Oil and Gas and industrial technical specification and engineering procedure.
- Familiarity with ISA norms pertaining the P&ID representation and the logic diagrams.
- Familiarity with ATEX, EMC, Low Voltage Electrical Equipment directives, Machine Directive, SIL standards and their application.
- Knowledge of field instrumentation (signal types, protocols, wiring) and electrical interfaces (MCC, VSD, SS, feeders).
- Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 programming.
- Previous experience contract with worldwide recognized main EPC contractors is a plus.
- Experience to manage outsourced Engineering Service Providers
- Experience to manage and work with foreigner Engineering production Center, similar to InSourCE in Bangalore (India) is a plus.
- English mandatory, French and/or Russian is a plus.
- Place of job position Spain or Budapest’ office (home office possible).
- Availability to mission abroad is mandatory.
