We're looking for a dedicated, hard-working Utility Operator to run the shipping, recieving and prep of bins used for transporting industrial water treatment liquids. This role is best suited for someone with expereince working in an industrial environment where inventory managment, forklift driving, and container transport preparation is routine. 

Role Summary:

  • Comply and support all Environmental, Health, DOT, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations.
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.  
  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Deliver or route materials to plant departments. 
  • Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. Receive instructions from the chemical operators and pull the correct raw materials and deliver the requested quantities to the production areas.
  • Check conditions of bins to ensure cleanliness and compliance with DOT procedures. Operate industrial fork truck to remove bins from tractor trailers, move and stack into inventory, move bins in and out of the cleaning bay. Clean interiors of bins using mechanical spray nozzles.
  • Test containers for leaks, damage, and defects, and repair or replace defective parts as necessary. Unload bins containing liquids by connecting hoses to outlet connections. Use SAP to record bin numbers and change the status and locations of the bins in the system.

 

Core Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Some experience working in a chemical manufacturing warehouse environment with hazardous materials preferred
  • Must be able to work any shift. Work overtime as needed and required
  • Fork truck experience greater than five years in an industrial setting and able to pass forklift certification
